How can we
make our children aware of danger without making them afraid or
paranoid? As parents, family members, teachers, and police, we
are constantly telling our children "do not talk to strangers!"
Is there a better way? We believe we have an answer in this exciting
program. During the past 15 years of teaching KEYEYE
in Europe,
Australia, and North America we have discovered that: children
listen to children.
This fast
paced program is filled with action, stunts, and wild animals
including "Shadow" the Jaguar who stared as "Bagheera"
in Walt Disney's, "The Jungle Book." Your children will
learn simple escape techniques that will enable them to break
free and run away. The class is encouraged to make up stories
about how they, as abductors, could trick other children into
going with them. As the children read their stories they are dramatically
reenacted. The parents join in as the children discuss what they
can learn from each scenario.
The
KEYEYE
program
was created and developed by Robin
Webb and Judy Houghton in the early 1980's. They have
taught the program in many countries and are highly regarded in
the field of Social Safety.
